Modern society, including high school and university biology students, has a low comprehension of reproductive science terminology. To address this need, the Specialized Cooperative Centers’ Program in Reproduction and Fertility at Northwestern University, Chicago (leader Theresa Woodruff) has created Repropedia, a website thatis curated by members of the global reproductive science community to serve as an authoritative source of definitions for reproductive health terms. Unlike in Wikipedia, the definitions are peer-reviewed by experts and can be updated or altered only via the Editorial board, thus ensuring its accuracy.

Repropedia contains not only definitions of key terms, but many of these are linked to images and video clips, provided by contributors who expand upon the basic definition. It has an international Editorial Board, and should be viewed as a community asset.

This brief presentation will introduce Repropedia to the SRB community, a number of whom have already contributed content, and will request others to submit material they find is missing.
